India is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world. Yet the complexities and sensitivities are such that issues relating to culture, caste and religion are rarely openly discussed – let alone addressed, in the Indian workplace. In this session, we build on the theme of global thought leader, Mary-Frances Winters’ book, We Can’t Talk About That at Work to facilitate a bold conversation about culture, caste and religion in India. Bringing together global and Indian experts, we discuss the sensitivities around these issues, explore the ways in which they impact the workplace and point to how companies can adopt a more positive and proactive approach.
