Today marks a momentous occasion for diversity and inclusion as the Global Inclusion & Diversity Alliance (GIDA) is launched at the Whiria Ngā Kaha Workplace Inclusion Aotearoa 2023 international conference, hosted by Diversity Works New Zealand.
The Global Inclusion & Diversity Alliance (GIDA) is a community of practice for D&I organisations from around the world who act together to make workplaces across the world more equitable. Our CEO, Janet Ledger, was joined by CEOs of the Founding Members of the Alliance for a panel discussion which explored how the Alliance came together, and how the partners will work together to tackle some of the pressing diversity and inclusion (D&I) issues around the world.
Discussing the launch of GIDA, Janet Ledger (she/her), CEO of Community Business, said:
“Community Business is excited to be a founding partner of GIDA. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion matters if we want the societies we live and work in globally to allow all people to thrive. Sharing learnings with like-minded organisations on best practice can only enhance the work we are all doing to drive more equitable outcomes."
Over the next 12 months, GIDA is working on delivering initiatives for the benefit the membership of the Founding partners and will continue to search for partners from around the world who meet their criteria.
