Finance Associate
Community Business, the leading organisation committed to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) in companies across Asia, is looking for a Finance Associate. Based in our India office and reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide key support to our accounting and finance.
What You’ll Do:
This full-time role will assist the Finance Manager in the full set of accounting and finance activities, including but not be limited to:

Manage daily accounting processes including transaction inputs into accounting system and timely issuance of invoices, payments, cheques, receipts, etc.

Manage invoice issuance, amendment and follow-up independently

Liaise with customers / clients / suppliers directly

Liaise with respective team leaders for information needed

Issuance of tax invoice and export invoice as applicable

Manage accounts receivable
-
Proactively communicate with suppliers and customers to set up / maintain vendor accounts as needed and ensure the timely collection of receivables
-
Co-ordinate with bank for foreign remittance
-
Manage accounts payable to ensure timely payments to vendors
-
Prepare and manage staff expenses reimbursement
-
Verify information submitted by staff and ensure proper approval has been obtained by staff
-
Prepare monthly bank reconciliation and cashflows analysis, and schedules as and when required
-
Support the annual budgeting and audit process and monthly Payroll
-
Provide supporting in calculating monthly TDS and GST payment
-
Other accounting duties and ad-hoc assignments as and when required
-
Support other administration and technology related tasks as needed
What You Bring:
We are looking for an individual with:
-
Relevant qualification or certification in finance & accounting
-
Knowledge of taxes in India
-
Experience in managing full set of accounts independently
-
Knowledge of Tally and XERO software are preferred
-
Excellent communication skills – oral, written and presentation – with fluent English language capabilities

Ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects and different priorities concurrently

Analytic and can work with data for quantitative and qualitative analysis
-
Self-motivated, with ability to work independently under time pressure as well as a strong team player
-
Has a critical mind, thinks creatively and has good problem-solving skills
-
Resilient, able to adapt to different situations and enjoy working in a dynamic, stimulating and fast-moving environment
-
Confidence and an interest to develop skills in meeting new people and communicate as well as interact with key stakeholders
-
A strong attention to details
-
High degree of proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and similar platforms.
