Elaine J Cheung is a purpose-driven CFO and Board Director, helping companies fulfil their commitments to environmental and social sustainability through profitable strategies. Her experiences in healthcare, consumer goods, supply chain, aquaculture along with board roles at the UN and WWF give her deep insights into moving beyond shareholder to stakeholder capitalism. Janet Ledger

Chief Executive Officer at Community Business

As Chief Executive Officer, Janet drives the overall strategic direction and sustainability of Community Business.   

With over 40 years of work experience, Janet has built a successful career as a senior leader covering a broad range of disciplines. Prior to joining Community Business in 2019 as the Chief Operating Officer, she led strategic business planning, programme management, corporate governance, change management, organisational effectiveness and talent development. Originally from Brisbane, Australia, Janet is now based in Hong Kong. 

Janet specialises in strategic leadership, organisational development, and fostering inclusive environments, leading Community Business in its mission to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across Asia. She works with teams to open channels of communication, develop talent, and create inclusive environments that drive organisational success.

Janet holds a Bachelor of Psychological Sciences from Swinburne University of Technology and an Advanced Diploma in Programme and Project Management. She is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, alumni of The Women's Foundation Mentoring Programme of Hong Kong, and a member of the 30% Club of Hong Kong Steering Committee. 

May Tan

May Tan was the Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (“SCBHK”) for three years before her retirement on 1 March 2017.

May joined the SCBHK Board in 2009 when the bank acquired Cazenove Asia. Apart from being the CEO of SCBHK, May was Global Head of Equity Corporate Finance and Vice Chair, Corporate Banking at Standard Chartered Bank.

Before joining Standard Chartered, May was the Chief Executive Officer of Cazenove Asia (since 1993), and was a partner of Cazenove and Co (1995).

Since her retirement in March 2017, May has focussed on Board positions, both corporate and charities. Since 2013, she has been an Independent Non Executive Director (INED) of Link Asset Management (Link). She is a member of Link’s Audit and Risk Committee, Remuneration Committee and Nomination Committee. In August 2018, May was appointed to the CLP Holdings Board and joined the Audit and Risk Committee, Finance and General Committee and Sustainability Committee. In June 2017, she joined the Board of MSIG HK and is the Chair of the Audit Committee. She is also an INED of Anticimex Topholding AB and Home Credit NV.
