Description

Compared with developed countries such as the UK and US China has a number of women participating in the workforce. However, only 17% of senior managers are women, with only 6% as CEOs and 8% as broad directors.

Gender inequality issues have often been seen as women’s issues as women both suffer and stand to gain the most from achieving equality. Top organisations realise that men should play a critical part in achieving gender parity. If men are part of the problem, they should be part of the solution too.

In this session, Christine will discuss why and how to engage men  in creating a welcoming envornment for women leaders in the context of China.

Key takeaways:

  • To understand what  a male ally is and why they are important to women diversity in China
  • To understand the associated business values
  • To understand unconscious bias from both men and women, which hinders female diversity at work
  • Learn practical steps towards initiating a sucessful male ally programme in your workplace
