SDG 5: Gender Equality and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities
Launched in 2020, this 9-month LGBTQ+ Mentoring Programme has been filling a crucial gap in our community, providing a structured and professionally-run platform to support the career development of early-career LGBTQ+ professionals in Hong Kong.

Overview

In our continued commitment to bring positive change to businesses which leads to positive change throughout socirty, we are thrilled to announce the 2025 cycle of our renowned Community Business LGBT+ Mentoring Programme.

Mentors will have the opportunity to share their expertise, pay it forward, and develop their own leadership capabilities. Mentees will embark on a transformative journey of personal and professional growth.

We are now accepting applications for both prospective mentors and mentees to join the 2025 cycle of the programme.

Become a Corporate Sponsor

As a Corporate Sponsor, you will be supporting young LGBTQ+ professionals at a pivotal point in their careers and bringing actual impacts to their life. You are building a strong community where the mentees, mentors and alumni support each other. Become a Mentor

Through the Mentor/Mentee relationship, mentors can: 

  • Bring meaning impacts by providing guidance, motivation, and support to mentees 
  • Serve as a positive role model 
  • Create long-lasting bonds 
  • Develop leadership skills 

Prospective mentors should be: 

  • >10 years of professional experience 
  • Member of the LGBTQ+ community or a demonstrated LGBTQ+ Ally 
  • Passionate and committed about guiding young mentors in their careers 
  • Open to learn from their mentees 
  • Joining at least 3 out of 8 monthly sessions, at least 1 in-person session if they are based in Hong Kong 

 

Become a Mentee 

Through the Mentor/Mentee relationship, mentees can: 

  • Receive guidance from seasoned mentors 
  • Build confidence, self-esteem and become accountable for long term career goals 
  • Create long-lasting bonds 
  • Develop vital professional skills 

Prospective mentees should be: 

  • 3-10 years of professional experience 
  • Able to articulate their desired goals 
  • Highly motivated and committed to drive their mentoring relationship and achieve professional success 
  • Joining at least 5 out of 8 monthly sessions, at least 1 in-person session if they are based in Hong Kong 

 

Become a Session Leader

Over the course of the 9-month programme, we will be hosting regular Professional Development Sessions to empower and inspire our participants. If you have a keen interest in supporting the career advancement of talented LGBTQ+ professionals, and would welcome the opportunity to raise your profile as a speaker by imparting your valuable expertise, we invite you to consider becoming one of our Session Leaders. 2024 Programme Statistics

We care about our participants’ programme experiences, therefore, we collect data and feedback from our participants to track their development progress and to improve the programme. After joining the programme for four months, we witness positive impacts on our participants that they feel more confident as LGBTQ+ (Ally) Professionals, more equipped as LGBTQ+ inclusion leaders and more supported by the LGBTQ+ community.
