Companies committed to reducing the stigma, opening up the conversation and creating more inclusive workplaces for those with a disability and mental health issues are invited to attend this ½ day programme. Referencing the widely acclaimed This is Me programme, we’ll be exploring the power of storytelling in driving culture change – demonstrating how this can be particularly effective when it comes to sensitive subjects such as disability and mental health.

We’re delighted to be joined by Story Teller and Story Coach, Ameen Haque, Founder of Storywallahs who will lead an experiential session and share top tips on telling stories with impact.

In addition, our corporate panel will share their experiences of running storytelling programmes and opening up the conversation on these important topics in the workplace.

Ameen Haque

Founder, Storywallahs

Story coach, Innovation consultant and Diversity champion, Ameen Haque is the founder of Storywallahs, a company that helps leaders and organisations leverage the power of stories. Storytelling is an essential skill, no matter what you do and Ameen helps you build that capability at your organisation. His approach to Innovation is focused on Culture, specifically fostering a culture of innovation. And as a diversity champion, he helps organisations build a culture of inclusiveness in the truest sense of that word. A Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Ameen has studied Advertising Media Planning at MICA. Formerly a Vice President at Ogilvy & Mather, Ameen has over 20 years of experience in advertising, theatre & consulting. These stints have exposed him to stories, human behaviour, team dynamics and strategy. He loves climbing hills and playing table tennis.

Director IT (Enterprise Application Delivery Segment), Intel IT India Site Head, Intel Technologies, Bangalore

4 years young at Intel, with close to 3 decades in the industry, leading the IT India team, Grama (‘gr’ as he is generally referred to by his friends and colleagues) is part of the Diversity and Inclusivity initiatives of Intel. He got an opportunity to start the Intel Diverse Abilities Network (IDAN) chapter for Intel India and with a strong team of passionate volunteers has made progress in this area. Believes strongly that change should first start from ‘within’ and there are no ‘set paths’ for making progress. Advocates that ‘strong Inclusivity is the bedrock for the success of Diversity’ and believes that ‘life is a celebration of happiness’.

Vivek Misra

Group Manager, Applications and Infrastructure, Microsoft’s Customer Support and Services

Vivek Misra is a Group Manager with the Applications and Infrastructure group in Microsoft’s Customer Support and Services group, responsible for leading teams that supports and enable Developers Worldwide. He has been with Microsoft India since in 2003 and has since then been involved in leading various teams. With over twenty years’ of strong experience spanning across multiple domains, Vivek has worked effectively with customers and allied businesses by promoting openness and sharing in relationships demonstrated competencies.
Vivek has been a great advocate for Diversity and Inclusion and has been closely involved with our D&I charter. He is the India lead for the disAbility ERG working with a group of passionate volunteers who are helping make Microsoft India an accessible and inclusive workplace for persons with disabilities. In the past, he has led the Springboard Program, which is a unique platform to help and empower women on a career break make a gradual transition back into the corporate workspace through a 6-month internship program. Diversity for Vivek is about creating an environment where every single employee feels comfortable to bring to work their true self. He firmly believes that diverse and inclusive environments allow people to give in their best and helps keep employees engaged and motivated.
