In this webinar, Cassandra will share her story about how she steered her life without losing hope or gratitude. She believes joy and gratitude are integral elements to fostering positive emotions, as well as to nurture resilience which helps us navigate complexity and uncertainty in our life. With her extensive counselling experience and avid work as an advocate for PwD, she will guide us with practical advice about how you can identify joy and gratitude in your own language and how to practice this in your daily life.
Speaker: Cassandra Chiu is a director of The Safe Harbour Counselling Centre, Social Advocate, and Equal Opportunity Consultant. As the first woman to use a guide dog in Singapore and educate the public about it, she has passionately spoken about disabilities on many platforms both locally and in the region. Her vision, as a person living with blindness, is to change what it means to be disabled in Asia for the individual and the society. Chiu is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, Social Innovation Park Fellow and recipient of The Singapore Woman Award.
