DIAN India Insight Series - 1: Focus on Tier 2/3 Talent Drives Greater Cultural Diversity in the Indian Workplace
A new diversity dynamic is emerging in corporate India. Whilst leading companies - both local and multinational, used to rely solely on attracting talent from the top educational institutions in the main commercial hubs - the so-called Tier 1 cities, they are now increasingly looking beyond their traditional hunting ground to source and attract talent from further afield. The drivers for and benefits of this approach are many; however the natural outcome is a potential shift in the make-up of the workforce and the emergence of greater cultural and regional diversity in the workplace. As a champion of responsible and inclusive business and a thought leader on diversity and inclusion in Asia. Community Business was keen to explore this dynamic with a view to highlighting why companies need to pay attention to cultural diversity in the Indian workplace.
